In an effort to redeem myself from the evil deeds I been committing, I decided spend a Sunday doing Volunteering Work for the Local Community!! Waking up at 8 am on a Sunday, <an achievement in itself already> I got lost in no time with another fellow volunteer, Stuart, who I met while asking for directions at the bus interchange!! Some 'exploration' and a 15 minutes bus ride that results in another 15 minutes walk due to the fact that we overshot our stop and got chase off the bus as we underpaid for the distance traveled. Did you get that? Cause I didn't.

Ok, back to the work, We the noble volunteers were task to build a broad-walk for one of the nature parks we never knew existed so close to the city, and mind you, there were 20 over students there and none knew of the existence of anything beyond the 'Campus and City Center'. Sorry, back to our noble task, we toiled and saw, hammer and nail and 6 hours and 20 meters of broad-walk later, I come to realize a few things:

1) University students are USELESS, 6 hours and ONLY 20 meters?
2) Students have no sense of direction without the smell of Brooze or Music.
3) Gals are more helpful then boys in volunteering as there were more gals there.
4) Having a lot of gals makes no difference from having none, most of their time was spend: Chatting, Joking, Flirting, cheering and trying out stuff they never try before for like 5 minutes.
5) Most people cannot hammer without splashing mud all over.
6) Most wood are harder then metal nails, most of the nails broke for unknown reasons.
7) When buying a hammer, get one made of metal handle, we broke 4 wooden handles in 6 hours.
8) Most countries like to send only 1 representatives, 1 from Singapore, 1 from France, 1 from Australia, 1 from Austria, 1 from S.Africa and 1 from every major city in UK.
9) Risk Assessment is not something only in the ARMY, apparently the Park Ranger did one as well and its almost just as back as the one in ARMY, you need TWO people to carry one small piece of wood? 2???
10) Manchester Air is heavily polluted and no one realizes it, Stuart was 'cured' from his cough the moment he was in the park and it came back the moment our bus reached the interchange.
11) Everyone avoids watery muddy patches and become very 'hardworking' at some other task so that he will not have to be the one to step into the mud.
12) Marks and Spencers sandwiches are really good.
13) I think I did more Evil then I redeemed in 1 Sunday.
